Brian Evans, 57, of Lebanon, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Faye Evans; maternal grandparents, George Damron and Jewell (Albert) Green; paternal grandparents, Robert and Audrey Evans; brother, Eric Evans; and aunt, Marcia Gallardo (Gary Pierce).
He is survived by his father, James Evans; wife, Christy Evans; daughter, Brooke Elizabeth Evans; son, Brett Nathaniel Evans and fiancé, Emma Sherrow; stepdaughter, Savannah Grace (Troy) Huddleston; stepson, William Maurice "Will" ( Hannah) Norton lll; grandchildren, Abigail, Ruth and Amelia Huddleston; sister, Anisa Evans; cousin, Ashley (Steven) Douglas; father-in-law, Ralph Hall; mother-in-law, Barbara Hall; sisters-in-law, Amy (Joe) Green, Julie (Scott) Ulmer, Rachel (Brandon) Burnette and Bonnie Hall; brother-in-law, Jeff Hall; and numerous other loving family members.
Brian was member of First Baptist Church in McMinnville, Tennessee, and participated in the choir. He also attended Immanuel Baptist Church with his wife Christy. He was a 1986 graduate of West View High School in Martin, Tennessee, and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Bethel University in 1990.
While at Bethel, Brian was a tenor and a proud member of the Balladeers. His time with the group was an important time in his life, offering him the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Brian’s interests included fishing, hunting and golfing with friends, and he had a true talent for woodworking — especially crafting wooden ink pens. Brian also had a deep love for history, particularly the Civil War era, and never missed a chance to learn something new. He was also known for his grilling and the joy he found in preparing meals for those he loved.
Above all, Brian cherished the time he spent with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation for Brian will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 3-8 p.m., and again Friday, May 23 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at Partlow Funeral Chapel starting at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Owens and Pastor Jeff Pratt officiating. Interment will follow in the Poplar Hill Cemetery.
