State Rep. William Slater, R-Gallatin, this week honored two exceptional students at Trousdale County High School.
Slater presented House resolutions to valedictorian Kylie Nicole Carman and salutatorian Elizabeth Grace Denning of the 2025 graduating class at TCHS.
鈥淓xemplary students deserve to be recognized. Kylie and Elizabeth have proven their commitment to academic excellence,鈥 said Slater. 鈥淓arning the title of valedictorian or salutatorian requires hard work and dedication, qualities that are clearly on display with these two students. It was an honor to present them with resolutions, and I look forward to seeing the great things they will accomplish following graduation.鈥
House Joint Resolution 581 recognized Carman for earning an exemplary grade point average while participating in several extracurricular activities, including the Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Interact Club, Future Business Leaders of 性视界APP (FBLA), and the cheer team. She also served as senior class president and student council vice president. Carman will be attending Volunteer State Community College in the fall.
House Joint Resolution 580 honors Denning for her academic success and extracurriculars, including Beta Club, FBLA, student council, Interact Club, and the Appreciation Team. She served as senior class vice president and a school board student representative. Denning plans to attend Tennessee Technological University.
