Caroline Cushing had a hat trick for the Devilettes as she scored in the first, ninth and 34th minutes.
On the back side, goal keeper Kennedy McGovern finished with five saves. Helping her were defenders Sa’mya Weir, Matilda Harris, Lainey McCulloch, Gracie Lowery and midfielders/forwards Andie Hutto, Chloe Miles, Tenley Gill, Tenley Davis, Karissa Bogenholm and Anna Lee Adams.
Baird also won the junior-varsity match 2-0.
Reese Lee’s shot deflected off a Winfree Bryant player and into the net for a 1-0 Devilette lead in the 35th minute. Chloe Weaver doubled the margin three minutes later.
Ansley Gray, Brooklyn Dragan, Vivien Gilmer, Mariam Tawadrous, Carley Beth Whiteaker, Sam Allison, Raelyn Borba, Harper Hall, Maybelin Gonzales Lopez and Khloe Stallcup-Clark also contributed for the Devilettes. Lowery and Gill shared goal-keeping duties in posting the shutout.
Walter J. Baird will next host Watertown at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
