NASCAR will now return to Middle Tennessee for a fifth straight year, and the event has sold out three of the past four years since Nashville Superspeedway reopened its gates in 2021. Next year will mark the earliest point in the season for the Cup Series to come here. The inaugural 2021 race was held on Father鈥檚 Day. Subsequent races were held a week later with this year鈥檚 event held June 30.
But the 2025 schedule will look different in other aspects as well, most notably with NASCAR鈥檚 first points Cup race in Mexico since 1958 on June 15. Richmond, which has held two races each season since that same year, is losing one of its dates to accommodate the Mexico race.
Recent winners at Nashville Superspeedway include NASCAR Cup Series champions Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson and Joey Logano, in addition to Ross Chastain of Nashville-based Trackhouse Racing.
It took a record five overtime restarts to settle Nashville Superspeedway鈥檚 2024 NASCAR Cup Series race, but Logano emerged as the winner to secure a playoff bid in dramatic fashion. With race leaders falling out of contention with each late-race restart 鈥 31 extra laps and 15 cautions 鈥 Logano and his team gambled that his No. 22 Ford Mustang had enough fuel for a final push to the checkered flag. The reward was a trip to victory lane, the first for Ford at the 1.33-mile track, and a coveted ticket to the postseason for Logano and his team.
